Open Source
Open Source is a re-imagining of the classic video game Pong. Instead of a game played out visually on a screen, 2 participants will judge the position of the ball based on auditory cues only. Kinect hardware tracks the participants and their bodies act as paddles. A tone is emitted from the ball and sounds are adjusted based on their position relative to the players paddle.

RedHat: "The open source model can be applied in every industry"
Ruth Suehle is a senior editor at Red Hat, one of the biggest IT services company in the world, whose specificity is to mainly support the implementation and the maintenance of open source softwares and systems. According to Ruth, the open source model (no copyrights, free sharing of the knowledge and of the developped products, the importance of the community, etc.) is nowadays not limiter to the software industry. The automotive, chemical, transport or any other industry can apply the philosophy of open source in its own operations and in its own innovation processes. "This is a matter of sharing", emphasizes Ruth Suehle. "Look at the open data wave which has hit the US, today. Sharing makes things faster and more efficient". Although, it is true that companies which are not used to an open culture will have a hard time before really embracing the open source philosophy.

This is the core of http work on the Global Village Construction Set. Scenes in the video from hay baling onwards are the developments taking place at Factor e Farm in Missouri, USA. This is part of going the last mile on the construction toolkit part of the Global Village construction set. We are busy preparing the Civilization Starter Kit DVD. The latest need is professional fabrication drawings – the step beyond documenting the complete fabrication procedure. See sample fabrication drawing – a compact, information-packed format. Compare this to a sample fabrication procedure on the CEB press, which is much more expanded. We currently have complete 3D Cad of the CEB Press, and most of the Tractor and Pulverizer. The Power Cube is primarily in Sketchup. If you can help us on the fabrication drawings, starting with the CEB press – let us know. We are looking for volunteers or paid professionals. The Kickstarter funding can be allocated for this purpose as needed. The timing is tight. While we will have full fabrication procedures, the professional fabrication drawings may not be generated by Christmas, in which case, they will be added as soon as they are generated. A Decentralized Dance Party is an open source dance party in which the music is transmitted to nearby boomboxes via a small FM transmitter Downtown Minneapolis got down to business this past weekend. Men, women, kids, and giant bananas danced their faces off on Saturday night, as the Decentralized Dance Party brought its "Strictly Business" traveling street party to town. The meet-up point for the blowout was announced just hours before the event kicked off. Partiers were alerted via email, Facebook, and Twitter to convene at the Spoonbridge and Cherry in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden at 8 pm sharp. A crowd of what looked to be around 400-500 gathered at the starting point, decked out in their best business attire while brandishing everything from switchboard phones to potted office plants. It took the "Elite Banana Task Force" (a crew of volunteers sporting sweet banana costumes) around 20-30 minutes to tune all of the boom boxes to the master FM frequency (about 100 were laid out by the pond by the DDP, in addition to the ones people brought themselves). Once they had everyone aligned, it was time to get things started. The music was bumping, and the group starting breaking it down with their best dance moves. Some passersby looked on confused or took pics of the party (including one mortified group of high schoolers trying to take prom photos), while others didnt hesitate to get in on the action.
